The population of North Dakota was estimated at 755,393 as of 2018, making it one of the least populous states in America. The largest cities are Fargo and Bismarck with populations of more than 100,000 each while smaller towns such as Grand Forks and Minot have populations below 50,000 each. The economy of North Dakota relies heavily on agriculture which includes wheat production among other industries along with energy production from natural gas, oil, and coal reserves found across the state. North Dakota public schools are highly rated, with many of them being recognized for their high academic excellence. The state’s public schools are known for their commitment to providing a quality education to all students regardless of background or economic status. North Dakota public schools have a strong emphasis on core academic subjects such as math, science, English, and social studies.
